Dan Quinn, President
Dan is a second year YPCI Board Member and serving as President in 2018. He is a Manager of Corporate Development/M&A at Cummins. Dan is a graduate of the IU Kelley School of Business with a BS in Accounting (2010) and MBA in Financial Analysis (2011). Outside of work, Dan spends his time with his wife, Kiley, and their son, Theo. The trio like to do anything from hikes at Eagle Creek with their dogs - Charlie and Patrick - to attending Colts games and spending time with friends and family.
Kayla Alexander, VP Membership & Secretary
Kayla is a second year board member and serves as VP Membership and Secretary. Kayla is a senior tax associate at Ernst & Young. She is a member of the Indiana CPA Society and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Kayla is an alumna of Indiana University, Kelley School of Business where she earned a Bachelor of Science in accounting and a Master of Business Administration in Finance. Kayla is also a member of the Kelley School of Business Women's Alumni Network and volunteers at The Patachou Foundation. Kayla lives in Broad Ripple and enjoys traveling, volunteering, and spending time with friends and family.
Brittany Shaw, VP Marketing
A second year Board Member, Brittany serves as VP Marketing. Brittany is a third-year associate at Taft Stettinius & Hollister LLP where she practices business litigation. After Brittany graduated from Purdue University, she moved to New York City where she worked for the Top Chef judge, Tom Colicchio, and eventually for Verizon's corporate office in Manhattan. She eventually returned to Indiana for law school and recently graduated from Indiana University McKinney School of Law. In her spare time, Brittany enjoys traveling abroad, going to Title Boxing with other YPCI members, spending time with her friends and family, including her dog, Colty, and cat, Mildred ("Milly").
Andrew Podgorny, Treasurer
Andrew is a second year Board Member, serving as the Treasurer. Andrew, a Northwest Indiana native, attended Indiana University - Bloomington for undergrad and the Robert H. McKinney School of Law for his juris doctor. Currently, Andrew is an attorney with SmithAmundsen LLC, where his practice primarily involves advising banking and financial institutions, general corporate matters, securities laws, and creditor's rights.
Creighton Shook, Networking Chair
Creighton is a third year board member, serving as the Networking Chair. Creighton is a commercial real estate broker with Coldwell Banker Commercial Realty Services, specializing in retail leasing and sales in central Indiana. He graduated from Indiana University, and enjoys playing golf, sailing, and anything outside.
Erika Kotterer, VP of Events
Erika is a first year YPCI Board Member and serving as VP of events. She is the community manager for Kenzie Academy, a tech apprenticeship school in downtown Indianapolis. Erika is graduate University of South Carolina Upstate with a BA in History (2014) and of James Madison University with a MA in Political Science (2015). Outside of work, Erika spends her time with her dog Stella and discovering new restaurants around the city. On the weekends, you can catch Erika at brunch or frolicking around the city.
Adam Cox, Co-Gala Chair
Adam is a second year board member, serving as our Co-Gala Chair. Adam is one of two owners of chain of retail outlets across Indianapolis named Elite Beverages. Before starting his career in the fine wine, craft beer, and spirits industry, he graduated from Culver Military Academy. After Culver, he graduated from The Ohio State University with a focus on personal finance. When Adam is not working, he enjoys spending his time helping the Republican party, golfing, and supporting numerous charities.
Jared Luegers, Assistant VP Marketing
Jared is a first year board member and serves as Assistant VP Marketing. Jared is an Associate Portfolio Manager at Goelzer Investment Management where he manages client accounts and serves as an analyst for their Growth and ESG funds. Jared is a 2014 graduate of the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University where he majored in Finance and Economic Consulting. Jared is a member of the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Society of Indianapolis and is currently CFA charter pending as he fulfills his four year required work experience. Jared resides in downtown Indianapolis. In his free time, he enjoys working on his physical fitness, researching investing opportunities, and hanging out with friends.
Casey Vidal, Assistant VP Networking
Casey is a first year board member, serving as the Assistant VP Networking. Casey is a retail account manager for the Patron Spirits Company, specializing in marketing and sales throughout the state of Indiana. She recently graduated from the University of Kentucky, and enjoys traveling, being outdoors, and is obsessed with dogs.
Jon Bucher, Assistant VP Membership
Jon is in his first year as a Board Member, serving as the Assistant VP Membership. Jon is originally from Dayton, Ohio and moved to Indianapolis following graduation from The University of Dayton School of Law. He is also a graduate of Indiana University-Bloomington. Jon is an associate attorney with Schultz & Pogue, LLP, where he focuses his practice in the area of general liability defense. In addition to working with YPCI, Jon is a member of Indianapolis and Indiana State Bar Associations, the Defense Trial Counsel of Indiana, the Defense Research Institute, and the Sagamore Inn of Court. In his spare time, Jon enjoys spending time with family, traveling, and playing golf.
John Harden, Technology
John is a first-year board member, serving as the Tech Chair. He has been employed with Axia Technology Partners for the past eight years and is currently the principal software engineer, helping to develop and drive the direction of their core software offering, Kerauno. John is also on the advisory and curriculum board of Eleven Fifty Academy, where he serves as a mentor for students pursuing careers in technology.
He studied computer sciences and business at Indiana University. Outside of work, John enjoys spending traveling, spending time with friends and family, networking in the Indianapolis community and constantly learning new technology.
Malika Graham Butler, Programming/Professional Development
Malika is a first year board member and serves as the Programming and Professional Development Director. Malika graduated from Indiana University Bloomington in 2015 where she pursued majors in Political Science and Spanish. Malika plans to pursue her MBA at the Kelley School of Business at IUPUI in August of 2018. Malika serves as a Government Affairs Professional with Gubera Public Affairs, LLC where she advocates for clients through effective strategies for the public policy process with the Indiana General Assembly. Malika is in the 2018 Indiana Leadership Forum class and an active member of Downtown GOP. In her spare time, Malika enjoys reading, yoga, adventures with her husband and their dog, Titan.
Joshua Myers, Programming/Professional Development
Joshua is the CFO at the Indianapolis VA medical center and has been there for 7 years. After graduating from the University of Charleston, Joshua helped start a non-profit in Central America that fostered family development and taught vocational skills to single mothers and orphaned children. He has been involved with the young professionals in Indianapolis starting this year with Back on Your Feet. He looks forward to serving on the board and serving the Indianapolis Young Professionals board in 2018.
Cara Johnson, Alumni Advisor
Cara Johnson focuses her practice on a mix of transactional and general corporate work, including M&A, joint venture and other business transactions; drafting and review of commercial contracts, tech agreements and privacy policies; and working with companies within Central Indiana's growing socially responsible business and impact investment community. Since joining Taft in 2013, Cara has worked extensively in the middle market sector assisting corporate clients in multiple industries with various transactional, commercial, technology and privacy related needs. She has represented some of Indiana's first benefit corporations and is particularly interested in working with socially and environmentally responsible companies and investors in a variety of capacities.
Cara has served on YPCI’s Board of Directors, most recently as President, since 2015. She lives in Fountain Square with her wife, Tanya, and their daughter, Lena.
